JOIN APC Membership Criteria Membership in the Alliance of Professional Consultants is open to consultants in all areas of specialization who meet our Membership Criteria; adhere to our Professional Standards of Practice; and engage in our consultant credentialling process within 18 months of being accepted as a member. Consultants with both established and developing practices are eligible for membership. To be considered for membership in the APC, a consultant must satisfy substantially all of the following criteria:
Membership Categories Professional Member Professional Members are consultants who have been credentialled by the Alliance of Professional Consultants. Professional Members may participate in the APCs Consultant Referral Service by being listed on the public search function of the APCs web site and are given the opportunity to be listed in the APCs Directory of Professional Consultants.
Corporate Member Corporate Members are consulting companies who join the APC as a firm rather than as individual consultants. Corporate Membership provides you the opportunity to offer employees of your company the benefits of APC membership, including mentoring, professional development seminars and attendance at monthly meetings. Any three employees of the Corporate Member may attend each APC event at the APC member price. A Corporate Member is required to apply for credentialling within 18 months of being accepted as a member. The credentialling process is completed by the owner, principal, or senior executive in the Denver office.
Only Professional Members and credentialled Corporate Members are referred through the APCs Consultant Referral Service. Associate Member Associate Members meet the Membership Criteria and agree to abide by the Professional Standards of Practice, but have not yet completed the credentialling process. Associate members may include those that have established or developing practices.
Affiliate Member Affiliate Members are non-consultant businesses that have made a personal presentation to the Officers and Board of Directors to demonstrate their value and potential contribution to APC members and their clients. If accepted for Affiliate membership, the APC guarantees that during the initial 12-month term of your membership, no other company offering the same or substantively similar services will be granted an Affiliate membership. Affiliate Members are encouraged and expected to participate in APC functions in order to maximize their value to the membership, and must re-apply for membership each year. As an Affiliate Member of the APC, you have the opportunity to network with our members and promote your companys products and services in a professional and ethical manner. At any time after six months as an Affiliate Member, you or the APC Officers and Board of Directors may revoke your membership, at which time you will receive a pro-rata refund of your membership dues. Please note that the APC, its Officers, Directors or Members are not in any way obligated or implicitly expected to patronize your company, or recommend your company to its clients or colleagues.
